About Kipt
Last updated 23 October 2026
Kipt is a keyboard-first web app that saves your AI prompts and agent skills in a private GitHub repo you own. It is built for people who reuse AI prompts every day and want their best ones, and the skills their agents load, in one place they own.
What we make
- Kipt, the app: paste to save a prompt, ⌘K to find it, Enter to copy, and turn the ones you reuse into skills for Claude Code and Codex. Everything is stored in a private GitHub repo you own.
- Guides to agent skills, Claude Code, Codex and related tools.
- A free prompt library and a free SKILL.md generator.
How we write the guides
- Official sources first. Every product fact, such as a command, file path, setting or limit, is taken from the official documentation of the product it describes, and the guide links to it.
- A second check. After a guide is written, it is checked again against those sources by a separate review, with priority on anything a reader would copy and run, like commands and config.
- No made-up numbers. We don't publish invented statistics, prices, benchmarks, star counts or testimonials. If we can't verify something, we leave it out.
- Kept current. These tools change often. Each guide shows the date it was last updated, and we revise guides when the products they cover change.
- Fair to other tools. Comparisons describe what each product does from its own docs, without claims we can't support.
Independence
Kipt is an independent product. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic, OpenAI, Cursor or GitHub. When a guide mentions Kipt, it is because the guide is about prompts or skills, which is what Kipt manages.
